Order of calculation
- Years and months are added first. If that day does not exist in the target month (e.g. 31 February) the last day of the month is used.
- Days are then added or subtracted on the real calendar, leap years included.
- The weekday and Hijri equivalent of the result are shown.
Worked examples
Adding 90 days
1 November 2026 + 90 days = 30 January 2027.
Adding a month to 31 January
31 January 2026 + 1 month = 28 February 2026, because February 2026 has 28 days.
Frequently asked questions
Is a month 30 days?
No. Adding a month moves to the same day of the next month, or the last day if it doesn't exist. For exactly 30 days, use the days field.
Are weekends skipped?
No, these are calendar days. To add working days only, use the Working Days Calculator.
What about 29 February?
29 February 2024 + 1 year = 28 February 2025, because 2025 is not a leap year.
