Processing happens in your browser; your images are never uploaded. EXIF data such as location and camera model is removed from the output. Animated GIFs convert to their first frame only. iPhone HEIC photos open in Safari only.
Sometimes you need a specific format: a form that only accepts JPG, a store that wants light WebP images, or an ICO icon for your website. This tool converts images in seconds.
Everything happens in your browser, so private photos and ID scans are never uploaded to a server, and it keeps working on a weak connection once the page is open.
How to use it
- Click the upload box or drop images onto it. You can pick up to 50 at once.
- Choose the format: JPG for photos, PNG for transparency and screenshots, WebP for the smallest web images, ICO for site icons.
- Set the quality and, to shrink dimensions, a max width or height. The aspect ratio is kept.
- Click Convert, then download each image or click Download all as ZIP.
Which format should I pick?
JPG: best for photos, small files, no transparency.PNG: lossless, supports transparency, larger files.WebP: about 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, supports transparency.BMP: uncompressed and very large; some older software asks for it.ICO: website favicons and Windows icons, 16 to 256 px.
Quality between 75% and 85% is usually the best balance of size and sharpness.
Worked examples
Large phone photo for an upload form
A 4000×3000, 4 MB photo: choose JPG, quality 80%, max width 1600. It usually comes out under 400 KB.
Screenshot to WebP
A 1.2 MB PNG screenshot typically becomes about 150–300 KB as WebP at 85%.
A favicon for your site
Upload your PNG logo, choose ICO and All sizes to get one favicon.ico with 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser using its built-in image support; nothing is sent to a server.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes in Safari on iPhone and Mac, which can open HEIC. Chrome and other browsers can't. You can also set your iPhone to shoot JPG under Settings, Camera, Formats, Most Compatible.
Why did the file get bigger?
That happens when converting to PNG or BMP, or when the quality is set higher than the original. Use JPG or WebP at 75–85%, or reduce the dimensions.
What happens to transparency in JPG?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the colour you pick (white or black). Choose PNG or WebP to keep it.
Is location data removed?
Yes. The output carries no EXIF data such as GPS location or phone model, which is useful before posting photos.
