Enter your scores and choose the university's weights.
Saudi universities usually admit students by a weighted score: a mix of the high-school percentage, the General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) and the Achievement Test (Tahsili), each with a weight set by the university or college.
Enter your scores and choose the published weights or type your own. The calculator shows your weighted score and each test's contribution. Enter the score a major requires and it works out what you need in the test you haven't taken yet.
You can also use the general weighted average mode for any scores or values with different weights, such as course marks or project grades.
How it works
- Each component is multiplied by its weight: high school × weight ÷ 100, and the same for Qudurat and Tahsili.
- The results are added to give a weighted score out of 100.
- Weights must add up to 100%. With 50/50 weights Tahsili is not used.
- Score needed = (target − other components' contribution) ÷ that component's weight × 100.
Formulas
Weighted = H × w1 + Q × w2 + T × w3Needed T = (target − H × w1 − Q × w2) ÷ w3General weighted average = Σ(value × weight) ÷ Σ weights
H high school, Q Qudurat, T Tahsili; weights as decimals (30% = 0.30).
Worked examples
30/30/40 weights
High school 95%, Qudurat 80, Tahsili 85: 28.5 + 24 + 34 = 86.5%.
How much do I need in Tahsili?
High school 95% and Qudurat 80 at 30/30/40, aiming for 90%: you already have 52.5, so you need (90 − 52.5) ÷ 0.40 = 93.75 in Tahsili.
50/50 without Tahsili
High school 90% and Qudurat 70: 45 + 35 = 80%.
General weighted average
Scores 90, 75 and 80 with weights 20, 30 and 50: (18 + 22.5 + 40) ÷ 100 = 80.5.
Frequently asked questions
What weights does my university use?
Each university and college publishes its weights in its admission guide; they can differ between science, health and humanities majors and change from year to year. The presets are common examples; choose Custom and enter your university's official weights.
Are Qudurat and Tahsili out of 100?
Yes, both are reported out of 100 and used directly in the formula.
Simple vs weighted average?
A simple average gives every score equal importance; a weighted average gives each score importance in line with its weight, so a 40% test matters more than a 30% one.
Does a weighted score guarantee admission?
No. It lets you compete, but admission depends on available seats, other applicants' scores that year and the university's other requirements.
